The Global SME Business Toolkit
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in South Africa now have access to information on establishing and
running their business, thanks to the launch of a Global Business School of Entrepreneurship (GBSE), which was
established by the Association of SADC Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCCI) and its Global partners.
To this end, CGF Research Institute (Pty) Ltd (CGF) contributed towards the development of the Global SME
Business Toolkit by providing a set of corporate governance modules tailored to assist SMEs understand the
nuances attached to good governance.
GBSE provides accredited and non-accredited training programmes, which is aimed at addressing the needs
of and adding value to: SMEs (ASCCI members and the open market); Corporate Organisations; Government;
NGOs, Chambers of Commerce and other institutions; and Unemployed Youth and Graduates. GBSE’s
comprehensive and compelling value offerings focuses on entrepreneurial, organisational and leadership

The Global SME Business Toolkit, focuses on assisting SMEs to develop sustainability through a practical
day-to-day guide. This guide comprises many different aspects of running a business, which has been
identified through an intensive research process over an extended period of time.
